Questions and answers
What are invisible grills and how are they constructed?
Invisible grills are modern architectural fall protection systems comprising high-tensile Grade 316 marine-grade stainless steel cables tensioned vertically or horizontally at 2-inch or 3-inch intervals. Coated with a protective transparent nylon membrane, they remain virtually invisible from a distance while providing up to 400 kg+ of tensile breaking strength to prevent accidental falls.
Are invisible grills safe for high-rise apartment balconies in Bhubaneswar?
Yes. Invisible grills are specifically engineered for high-rise apartments. They are mounted using heavy-duty aluminium tracks secured with Hilti anchor bolts directly into structural RCC beams. Unlike traditional iron grills, they do not corrode from humidity or obstruct daylight and breeze.
Will invisible grills rust over time in Odisha's climate?
No. APEX strictly utilizes certified Grade 316 marine-grade stainless steel cables. Grade 316 contains molybdenum which provides superior resistance to chloride and coastal atmospheric corrosion, ensuring no rusting or pitting for decades.
How are invisible grills handled during a fire emergency?
Unlike immovable cast-iron grills that trap residents, invisible grills can be severed in less than 15 seconds using a standard emergency wire cutter. Firefighters can also cut through them effortlessly from the outside to gain emergency entry.
What is the difference between invisible grills and pigeon safety nets?
Invisible grills are architectural structural cables primarily designed for high-tensile fall protection (children, adults, pets) with spaced 2" or 3" cables. Pigeon safety nets use fine, flexible UV-treated monofilament mesh designed to block birds and pigeons from entering balcony spaces.
How are invisible grills priced?
Invisible grills are priced per square foot, based on your choice of cable diameter (2.0mm, 2.5mm, or 3.0mm) and spacing (2-inch for child safety or 3-inch standard). Contact our Bhubaneswar team for an exact on-site laser measurement and free quotation.
How quickly can APEX install invisible grills in Patia or Bhubaneswar?
Once site measurements are taken, fabrication and installation typically take 24 to 48 hours. A standard balcony installation is completed cleanly within 3 to 5 hours with zero mess.
